Portugal Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials, and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the PSI were:
– Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT): rose 3.10% or 0.25 points to trade at 8.31 at the close.
– Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT): added 1.90% or 0.31 points to end at 16.62.
– Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS): was up 1.69% or 0.12 points to 7.20 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS): fell 1.86% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.96.
– Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP): declined 1.81% or 0.01 points to end at 0.42.
– Semapa (ELI:SEM): down 1.74% or 0.26 points to 14.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 13, with 6 ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.91% or 0.68 to $74.28 a barrel.
- Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.03% or 0.73 to hit $70.04 a barrel.
- December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 13.00 to trade at $2,742.40 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08.
- EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.06.
