Spain Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.15%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE): rose 1.75% or 0.34 points to trade at 19.76 at the close.
– Acciona (BME:ANA): added 1.42% or 1.70 points to end at 121.80.
– Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX): was up 1.29% or 0.45 points to 35.20 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI): fell 4.34% or 3.30 points to trade at 72.80.
– Bankinter (BME:BKT): declined 3.00% or 0.23 points to end at 7.37.
– Caixabank SA (BME:CABK): was down 1.92% or 0.10 points to 5.33.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 106 to 89, and 19 ended unchanged.
Commodities Update
Gold Futures for December delivery were up 0.45% or 12.35 to $2,741.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.33% or 0.94 to hit $69.83 a barrel.
– The December Brent oil contract fell 1.17% or 0.88 to trade at $74.08 a barrel.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD was unchanged, moving 0.21% to 1.08.
- EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.05.
