Hamster Kombat Airdrop Announcement
After some delay, the popular Telegram-based crypto game Hamster Kombat is scheduling its first airdrop for next month.
In a post to its Telegram channel, boasting over 52 million subscribers, the Hamster Kombat team announced that the Token Generation Event (TGE) will take place on Sept. 26. According to their whitepaper, 60% of the token airdrop is allocated specifically for players.
The remainder of the airdrop will be utilized for market liquidity, ecosystem partnerships, grants, rewarding squads, and other initiatives.
Initially intended for July, the airdrop faced delays due to technical challenges, making it “impossible to predict” when it would occur. Challenges arose particularly because of the significant number of users eager to participate in the TGE. As of July, Hamster Kombat reported around 50 million daily active users across 190 countries, though it's unclear how many might be bots.
The Telegram-based clicker game Notcoin has played a pivotal role in bringing attention to Hamster Kombat and other similar games like Yescoin, having airdropped more than 80 billion NOT tokens worth about $1 billion in May.
The founders of Hamster Kombat indicated that they were inspired by Notcoin's success and are also planning a second airdrop.
